Careers and Industry

Helping Students to Thrive in Industry

The role of the Careers and Industry department is central to everything we do at WaterBear. Through our industry partners and contacts we continuously seek new and exciting opportunities countrywide and beyond to help students build connections and support their pathway into the industry. Alongside access to events, gigs and conferences we are committed to providing performance opportunities at venues and festivals such as Tramlines, ArcTanGent and The Great Escape, and work experience and placements such as session work, sound engineering, production, event management, and marketing within venues, festivals and record labels.

Support and Development

Throughout the year we organise industry masterclasses and unrivalled behind the scenes access with bands and industry guests such as Atlanta Cobb, Royal Blood, Frogleap, Idles, Afrika Green, Everything Everything, James Fitchett, and Goc O'Callaghan providing incredible insights into the music industry. Our Careers and Industry team also provide 1-1 careers advice and artist development alongside mentoring sessions to help students think commercially and guide them into the next stage of their career.
