All applicants interested in studying a course at WaterBear will be invited to take part in a 1-1 session either in person or by video conference, which is an essential part of the application process. This is where you get the chance to show us your passion for music and why you’re interested in coming to WaterBear. It’s also a great opportunity for you to find out all about WaterBear and ask us any questions, so that you are fully informed to make the right choice about where to study.
Our Open Days are relaxed and informal and provide you with the opportunity to find out everything you need to know about WaterBear. We are very proud to partner with some of the biggest names in music to offer various Scholarship awards and free course places. We also offer a range of bursaries to help students fund their studies and activities at WaterBear.
Introducing our MA Music Business Course. This comprehensive postgraduate qualification will help you become an adaptive thinker, creator and entrepreneur within a music industry that shapes the zeitgeist of contemporary culture.

THROWBACK! It’s been a year to the day since our first event in Sheffield - our launch party in August 2022 - featuring @thecocouk + @iamlamour_ , @bangbangromeo, @bloom_sheffield_ , @harri_larkin, and @lilyknott feat. @kaynceemusic. Since then we held open days at the wonderful @sidneyandmatilda, worked hard building the Sheffield campus, and then had our official opening party in April 2023, featuring Coco cutting the ribbon, @iamadmt, Harri Larkin, @kid_blu3e, and @yourvoicenotes.
The final date of importance is 18th September - when we officially open our Sheffield campus doors to YOU, our first cohort!

MA Performance, Production & Business student Christian Le Surf has recently showcased his amazing project “The Scroll” at Brighton based venue The Folklore Rooms. The handwritten scroll of musical notation is the centre piece of the musical art project and allows Christian to showcase high end experimental music!
