From student digs to flat shares and HMOs. Here’s our guide for all you need to know about student accommodation at WaterBear.
Although WaterBear does not have its own dedicated student housing, we work closely with local agents and landlords so you can find the best possible accommodation for you. Brighton is a busy student town, so we recommend to anyone needing accommodation that they should start the search as soon as possible. There’s lots on offer in Brighton, from dedicated halls of residence to student HMOs (houses of multiple occupancy), flat shares and single rooms, all of which our network of property agents have access to. We keep in regular contact so they know how many students we’re expecting, and how many are likely to need accommodation.
Brighton is a city, but it's geographically small and public transport links are very good. The cost of accommodation in the middle of town is likely to be more expensive, so consider looking away from the city centre in one of the outlying areas if you need to save on cost. You'll still be close to our central Brighton campus.
In addition to working with property agents directly, each year we setup a new 'WaterBear Accommodation' group on Facebook and we invite all our new applicants to join. It’s a great way of getting more advice and information on all things accommodation related, and also to network with other WaterBear students who are looking for likeminded musicians to live with.
Eightfold offer a range of student properties throughout Brighton and Hove. They can offer any students a great place to live during their studies. We have been working closely with Eightfold ever since WaterBear started in Brighton and many of our students are resident in Eightfold properties.
