Zildjian artist Michael Bowes is a multi-style session and band drummer/percussionist. He has over 30 years of experience spanning multiple genres, including Funk, Rock, Drum n’ Bass, Jungle, Hip Hop, Reggae, Jazz, Soul, and Latin. He has played over 2,000 gigs and festivals, performing with high-profile artists such as Nelly Furtado, Laura Mvula (The Brits 2014), Joss Stone (co-writer and performer on "Incredible" from Colour Me Free), Heather Small (M People), and James Brown’s saxophonist Pee Wee Ellis. His credits also include work with Adam F, Sid Owen, Michelle Gayle, Amerie, Mario, Black Legend, Juanes, ME-ONE, Deeder Zaman, and Desmond Dekker. Currently, Michael is about to embark on a USA tour drumming with The Vapors, a New Wave/Punk band known for "Turning Japanese,". He also plays for the Ska/Reggae band The Hotknives.
