Bessi Massy

Bessi Massy

Tutor, Mentor and IFY Programme Coordinator

Over the past 15 years, Bessi has been passionately involved in the music industry as a music producer and songwriter. They started their journey into the world of music at 13 years old, and since then has had the opportunity of performing at Glastonbury on the BBC Introducing stage and ITV Studios. Songs they've produced have had radio play on Radio 1 & Radio 6 Music, Jazz FM, as well as millions of plays on Spotify. Their second project Sea Bed, an electronic music production duo, were signed by Four Thieves Records in early 2016, releasing their first EP on vinyl in record stores across the UK, and signing a deal with live agency Coda later that year. Their management deal was signed with Republic of Music soon after, and the band's lead track from this release gained support from DJs such as Lauren Laverne and Tom Robinson on Radio 1 & 6 Music.

Bessi is also a composer on the Universal Music Roster, producing for their album '100% Her' in 2020 and composed the song 'Take It Slow' for the Peugeot Advert Campaign, gaining support across Europe. These days Bessi's time is mostly spent producing for other artists, tutoring & lecturing & working on their solo material.
