Melanie is the bass player for The Wedding Present and has recently formed her own project 'Such Small Hands', releasing her debut album titled 'Carousel' in 2020. She is also a WaterBear Alumnus, having recently completed her MA in Music Entrepreneurship. Of her experience as a WaterBear student, Melanie commented: “I couldn't have done the course if it wasn't so flexible. The work fit in perfectly around being on tour. I was able to work from dressing rooms, vans, hotel rooms and at any hour I chose”.
