Steve Smith MA is a Grammy-winning musician with over 30 years in the music industry, best known as a founding member of Dirty Vegas—whose debut single Days Go By became a global hit and earned the first-ever Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording in 2003. Since 2017, he has been a full-time member of new wave legends Squeeze, performing worldwide at iconic venues including the Royal Albert Hall, The O2, and Madison Square Garden.
Signed to major labels such as Parlophone, Capitol, Anjuna, and Armada, and published by EMI, Warner, and Ultra, Steve’s work spans songwriting, percussion, and production, with music featured in global campaigns for Lucasfilm, Heineken, Mitsubishi, and Microsoft. Alongside extensive touring and recording, he brings expertise in songwriting, studio production, percussion, and tour management, while mentoring emerging artists through Help Musicians, drawing on three decades of experience to guide them through the creative, financial, and personal challenges of building sustainable careers.
