Scholarship Winner – Yesha
We are delighted to welcome AudioActive artist Yesha to WaterBear Brighton to study BA (Hons) Professional Music (Performance), bringing her unique blend of neo-soul and drill influences. She’s been making music for around four years and also plays the clarinet, incorporating both into her artistry to develop her own sound.
“Hey, I’m Yesha. I’m a singer, artist, musician and songwriter, and I’m so grateful to have been awarded the WaterBear Audioactive Scholarship. I’ve been making music on and off for about four years, but I’ve always loved singing. I also play the clarinet, and I like to incorporate both into my artistry. I’d describe my music as neo-soul with a bit of drill soul. I like creating my own unique sound. I’m really grateful and excited for this opportunity because I didn’t get the chance to go to uni when I was younger, so this feels like a second chance. I’m just so excited to be around like-minded musicians and have dedicated time to develop my music and take things further.” Yesha
