As an active vocalist and musical theatre artist, Megan’s career has taken her from band leader on international cruise ships, to singing at the London 2012 Olympics for Coca Cola. She’s trod the boards at The London Palladium alongside Jason Donovan and Wayne Sleep, and has led the vocal development of many students, both privately and at various institutions. She’s held the role of musical director on both the children’s choir for the Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat national tour, and Britain’s Got Talent Winners Collabro for their UK tour. Also a singer songwriter, Megan also has her originals project which saw the release of ‘Since He’s Been Away’ head into the top 10 of the Soul and RnB iTunes charts.
Zildjian artist Michael Bowes is a multi-style session and band drummer/percussionist. He has over 30 years of experience spanning multiple genres, including funk, rock, drum ‘n’ bass, jungle, hip hop, reggae, jazz, soul, and Latin. He has played over 2,000 gigs and festivals, performing with high-profile artists such as Nelly Furtado, Laura Mvula (The BRITs 2014), Joss Stone (co-writer and performer on “Incredible” from Colour Me Free), Heather Small (M People), and James Brown’s saxophonist Pee Wee Ellis. His credits also include work with Adam F, Sid Owen, Michelle Gayle, Amerie, Mario, Black Legend, Juanes, ME-ONE, Deeder Zaman, and Desmond Dekker. In 2024, Michael undertook a US tour drumming with The Vapors, a new wave/punk band known for “Turning Japanese”. He also plays for the ska/reggae band The Hotknives.
Mike Pockett is a multi-faceted musician with a background in live touring, electronic bass music, session work, and digital marketing. Mike has performed and recorded with artists such as The Future Dub Project, Nubiyan Twist, K.O.G, The Drop, Imperial Leisure. He has also provided live sound and events production for companies including Riptide Wrestling, Komedia, The Brunswick, and Patterns. He is the musical director for funk band ‘The Thunder Pigeons’ and runs a monthly soul/hip-hop jam night. Mike is proud to be endorsed by Ashdown Engineering UK, having worked with them on product development, promotional material, and live clinics as a company director at Pockett Marketing, he provides marketing consultancy to individuals, businesses and SMEs looking to expand their digital presence, build their marketing strategy, and grow brand loyalty. Mike specialises in brand design, inbound marketing philosophy, user experience, and accessible design.
Kat Ward is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and former music therapist. She studied Songwriting at Berklee and completed an MA at WaterBear studying Music Business Innovation & Enterprise. Recently spending time at the world renowned Rockfield studios (Queen, Oasis, Coldplay) as a songwriter she formed a partnership with producer Gethin Pearson (Charlie XCX, Badly Drawn Boy, Bloc Party) for her upcoming solo record.
Pat is a rock-fusion guitarist and online content producer. He’s played on 8 worldwide releases, written music for TV and online broadcast media and has performed at the music industry’s biggest trade shows and music festivals in a career spanning more than 20 years. He’s also a magazine columnist and transcriber, and product demonstrator for ESP Guitars. He studied at London Musician’s Institute and with a postgraduate certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education from the University of Sussex, Pat has worked in music education as a senior lecturer and has now teamed up with original founder Bruce Dickinson again to tutor students at WaterBear, as well as producing an online course.
Matt is a freelance musician, songwriter, and educator. As part of The Temperance Movement, Matt achieved a UK top 10 album (A Deeper Cut), having also co-written both single releases. The band has toured the world with acts such as Deep Purple and The Rolling Stones. As a freelance guitarist, Matt has worked at the highest level for the last 15 years, touring the world with artists such as James Morrison, Cee Lo Green, Natalie Imbruglia, Alison Moyet, Alfie Boe, Hurts, The Bays and The Egg. He has made numerous appearances playing Live on UK and US TV shows such as Jimmy Fallon, Tonight with Jay Leno, David Letterman, and Jools Holland. Matt has co-written 2 other top 10 singles, collaborating with David Guetta and Peter Doherty, and was nominated for an Ivor Novello songwriting award in 2005.
Paul is the drummer for UKQueen, an internationally touring Queen Tribute band. He is also a songwriter, producer and runs a record label covering a range of jobs such as production, mixing, mastering, promotion and marketing. Paul has taught music and songwriting at an array of schools, colleges, universities and songwriting camps and is currently due to complete a master’s degree in music performance within the songwriting pathway.
Darren has toured across the UK, Europe, America and Canada. His career highlights include sharing stages with Billy Idol, Newton Faulkner, James Blunt, Lightning Seeds, A-ha, The Wonderstuff, Gary Numan and The Stranglers. He is also an experienced backline technician and sound engineer, with past clients including The Australian Pink Floyd Show, Pete Doherty, Toby Jepson (Little Angels), Dean Howard (T’Pau/Cats in Space), Diversity, Simon Webb (Blue), Alabama 3, Bez (Happy Mondays), Babyshambles, The Horrors and The Sonics. Darren specialises in teaching Music Performance, Business and Production. He is currently working towards a PhD at Canterbury Christ Church University, focussing on the links between music education and the music industry.
Guitarist of indie-pop band Orchards, Sam Rushton is also a producer, songwriter and artist manager.
