FALMOUTH UNIVERSITY

COURSES APPROVED AND AWARDED BY FALMOUTH UNIVERSITY

WaterBear is a proud partner and College of Falmouth University, one of the UK’s most prestigious creative arts institutions. Our close relationship with Falmouth ensures consistently high standards of academic quality and student experience are met.

All courses delivered at WaterBear are approved and awarded by Falmouth, meaning you’ll graduate with a Falmouth University degree or master’s qualification. WaterBear students benefit from online access to Falmouth University library resources, but there is no requirement for any student studying at WaterBear to attend the Falmouth Campus as part of their core curriculum activities at WaterBear.

A PARTNERSHIP SUPPORTING CREATIVE CAREERS

The Falmouth University and WaterBear partnership offers students the opportunity to study undergraduate and post graduate degrees which are designed for independent musicians, delivered in Brighton as well as online and awarded by Falmouth.

This unique joint venture builds on Falmouth’s 118-year history in creative education, significant course portfolio and experience of delivering online degrees, combined with WaterBear’s students and industry-centred flexible delivery approach.

Falmouth has 120 years’ expertise at the forefront of creativity and innovation

In 1902 Falmouth School of Art opened as an evolution of The Royal Cornwall Polytechnic Society, which aimed to ‘promote the useful and fine arts, to encourage industry and to elicit the ingenuity of a community distinguished for its mechanical skill.’ The School started as we mean to go on – harnessing creativity to forge the future of industry.

Creative Industries drive economic growth

Virtual reality. Green energy. Culture-shifting content. Nothing in this world has ever been achieved without an injection of creativity. Communication, innovation, entrepreneurship, problem solving – creativity’s an essential component for progress and it’s particularly potent when combined with the power of technology. The Creative and Cultural Industries are driving economic growth and generating new ways of working, thinking and doing.

NURTURING ARTISTS AND MUSICIANS

As a college, we champion artistic freedom and nurture bold ideas, empowering our students to shape their own future through industry expertise, meaningful collaboration, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
