HANOVER HOUSE FACILITIES

Explore our brand-new facilities at Hanover House on Queen’s Road in Brighton, featuring recording studios, dedicated instrumental rooms, rehearsal spaces, and welcoming communal areas, plus access to our citywide partner studios.

Facilities for independent artists and musicians

Located on Queens Road between Brighton station and the seafront, Hanover House is WaterBear’s Brighton headquarters. Across four floors, you’ll find everything you need to develop as a modern musician: three professional recording studios, dedicated instrumental teaching spaces, Mac suites, rehearsal and practice spaces, common room, and workshop space. As a college run by professional musicians, we know what gear you need: vintage and modern amps, analogue and digital equipment, giving you the best of both worlds.

Alongside our Hanover facilities, you’ll access WaterBear owned working live music venues including the WaterBear Venue on Brighton seafront and the WaterBear Music Bar in Kemptown, both providing extensive backline facilities and available for live performances, gigs, work opportunities, teaching, workshops, networking, events, and social activities. We also work with professional recording studios and venues across the city including Small Pond with access to rehearsal and recording facilities, and also Brighton Electric and Alphabet for pre-production activities.

Throughout your studies, you’ll receive free bookable access to our recording and rehearsal facilities in Hanover House and our Brighton partner studio facilities. Whether developing your own material or collaborating with other musicians, our facilities support every stage of the creative process, from songwriting and pre-production to tracking, mixing, and live performance, for the independent artist and modern musician.
