Over 63% said they are employed (42% full-time,  21% part-time), 31% are freelancing, and 2% are volunteering. They’re touring, producing, releasing music, teaching, performing at iconic venues, and working in areas from sound engineering and music therapy to social media and sync licensing, building exciting portfolio careers.

The WaterBear Alumni Network

Once your course at WaterBear is finished, it doesn’t end there. You’ll go on to become part of our ever-growing WaterBear Alumni Network, a community that exists to keep you plugged in to the latest industry happenings, events and latest work opportunities.  Every year, our Alumni Network increases in size, in turn creating a greater network of like-minded people to connect with.

As you approach the end of your course, the team will explain the benefits of engaging with the Alumni Network in more detail.  We run regular events and activities for our Alumni, helping them stay in touch with WaterBear and connected to their network. We often invite Alumni to come back to the college to speak with current students about what they’ve learned since leaving WaterBear.  As WaterBear grows and expands, there are also opportunities to join the team here, which we promote to our Alumni community.

  • Continued access to personalised 1-1 mentoring
  • Continued access to college facilities
  • Widening industry connectivity
  • Music industry job opportunities
  • Ongoing professional advice
  • Exclusive Alumni-focussed events and activities

The College also organises networking opportunities through exclusive events and collaborations with industry professionals. Furthermore, WaterBear’s focus on practical experience provides alumni with continued access to our recording facilities and performance opportunities, continue to help you build and sustain careers in the music industry long after you’ve completed your course.
