Run in collaboration with WaterBear Patrons Royal Blood, The Royal Blood Scholarship award covers all tuition fees for one student throughout their degree at WaterBear. The course eligible is the 3-yr onsite option of the BA (Hons) Career Musician degree. We’re immensely proud to have Royal Blood on board, giving back to and supporting upcoming musicians. Legendary guitarist Cory Wong (Vulfpeck, The Fearless Flyers) has teamed up with WaterBear to offer a scholarship in his name. The Cory Wong Scholarship award covers all tuition fees for one student throughout their degree at WaterBear. The course eligible is the 2-yr online option of the BA (Hons) Career Musician degree. Cory is a stellar musician, known for his innovation and ground-breaking work with Vulfpeck and other numerous influential musical projects. World-renowned DJ and producer Carl Cox has been at the pinnacle of his profession for nearly 3 decades and is someone who continues to innovate and inspire through his music. He has partnered with WaterBear to create a scholarship award linked to our BA (Hons) Electronic Music and Business degree. The award consists of £15,000 of musical equipment for one student and can be applied for by all students enrolling on the 3-yr version of the course. Any student enrolling onto the 2-yr online option of the BA (Hons) Career Musician and BA (Hons) Electronic Music and Business degree courses will qualify to receive an equipment bursary, worth £750. This is designed to help students invest in musical equipment to help them with their music and projects and learn on their own gear. Terms and conditions apply.
Innovation bursaries of up to £500 each are offered each year at WaterBear and applications are open to all students. These bursaries are designed to help support the realisation of new and innovative projects. Innovation Bursary awards are offered at various times throughout the year and students from all courses are invited to apply.
The WaterBear Student Hardship Fund provides financial help for any student who may find themselves in severe financial difficulty, without the means or support available to help them through it. Applications are considered on an individual basis of need, with awards of up to £500 available.
