Masters open evening + workshop: applying to play at music festivals

Join us at our campus in Brighthelm Gardens, Brighton on  Tues Mar 12th  at 18:30 for our Open Evening.

Learn more about WaterBear’s Masters Programmes for musicians and creatives. Students can study On-Campus in Brighton or Online through Distance Learning. Funding is available and all programmes are accredited by the University of Chichester.

The presentation will include a talk by Brían McNamara (Songwriter, Guitarist and Vocalist with Brighton based band Warsaw Radio) on How to Apply to Play at Music Festivals --- Tips for DIY Musicians.

Brían has performed at some of the UK & Ireland's leading festivals including Black Deer Festival, Beautiful Days Festival,  Liverpool Feis, The Great Escape, Brighton Fringe Festival and Electric Picnic. An experienced live performer, he has played many leading venues across the UK & Ireland including: The Brighton Dome, The Belfast Empire, Whelans Dublin and Ronnie Scotts. As part of the band Warsaw Radio he has appeared on the same line-up as artists such as Van Morrison, The Lone Bellow, Frank Turner, The Levellers and The Waterboys (all artists that have inspired his songwriting). His songs have been featured & playlisted on BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Northern Ireland, BBC Sussex Today FM and RTE Radio in Ireland. McNamara holds a BA (Hons) Degree and a Masters from Technological University Dublin.
