Previously a member of self managed British rock group Panic Cell, Rob ‘Bobby’ Town has toured the world and shared stages with the likes of Metallica, Papa Roach, Alice In Chains, Alice Cooper, Disturbed, Skindred, and played Download Festival, Sonisphere, Bloodstock Festival, Wacken Open Air, SXSW and more.
Since launching his PR/Marketing agency Stampede Press in 2012, Rob has worked with legacy groups like Terrorvision, Wayward Sons, The Virginmarys, Winger and more, as well as helping up and coming artists establish profiles in the music industry.
In 2018 he co-founded music management consultancy agency Lightning In A Bottle with Toby Jepson (Planet Rock/Wayward Sons/Little Angels) as a way to help musicians understand how to best manage themselves in music business and focus more time on enjoying creativity and art.
In 2019 Rob qualified his experience by graduating with a Master Of Arts Degree in Music Industry Innovation and Enterprise and is credited as one of WaterBear’s Business & Innovation Tutors.
“Studying for my Masters Degree with WaterBear is one of the best things I have ever done. It’s literally changed my life and enabled me to gain a firm understanding of who I am and what it is I want to do with my life.
As someone that left college in 1992 to pursue a long term journey as a musician, re-entering education at a later age in 2018 at such a high level was incredibly daunting. However challenging, WaterBear equipped me with the tools necessary and supported me at all times, especially when my spirits were flagging. As a creative musician and business person, I’ve now backed up my experience with a University qualification and I can’t tell you just how great that makes me feel!”
